Your despatch No. 176 of 29th July, 1949. Grant of land to Salesian Society of Hong Kong for a school.
2.
I would be grateful for your approval of a further grant to the Society by private treaty of approximately 20,800 sq. ft. of land lying along the northern and eastern boundaries of the lot granted in 1949.
3.
The school building on that lot is almost completed and the Society has applied for this area as an extension to provide a playground in the first instance. Eventually a refectory and kitchen may be erected on part of this extension. The land in question consists mainly of steep hillside lying behind the new school building and only about 6,000 sq. ft. is capable of independent development. I propose to apply the same conditions as suggested in the second paragraph of my despatch No. 115 of the 30th June, 1949, except that no building covenant will be imposed for this extension.
